I guess I am spoiled when it comes to Japanese Food....But the best thing at this restaurant was the $2.95 dinner salad which comrised of just lettuce and a sour dressing. The eel was fishy and filled with bones....the spicy tuna had no taste, the tempura was soggy and was not good. Even the Ginger did not taste right. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura or "punk roll" it was made up mostly with brown avocado imitation crab doused in mayo (gross) and the tempura was again soggy. I also asked for a side of sauce that i could dip my roll into and they did not inform me....but they charged me $1.50 just for the extra sauce that tasted like crap so i didnt even eat it. I left hungry while my fiance said that the Yellow tail and salmon was not bad....we paid $47.00 for a disgusting meal. The atmosphere and service was not bad. But i like to think that when I go out for dinner, i will enjoy my food first and foremost.

I really like this restaurant! It can get crowded, so it's best to make reservations. Real Asian restaurants (not like PF Chang's) usually have the worse service ever! But here it's not too bad at all. The hosts and waiters are friendly and tend to you in a timely manner. And the chefs at the teppan grill are fun and fabulous. My favorite thing to order here is the Love Boat when I'm super hungry or want a variety. It comes w/ miso soup, teriyaki chicken and beef, shrimp and veggie tempura, lobster tail, and a couple other unique yummy things all in this big wooden boat. At about $50 or so for 2 people, it's well worth it. The atmosphere is nice w/ the dining area separated fr the teppan grill. It's a great casual date spot .. not too romantic and intimate but not too overcrowded you can't carry a conversation.

Simply... THE BEST !!! (in the west, that is) Musashi Japanese Cuisine has the best sushi and teppan-yaki with unbeatably low prices. Not to mention the highest quality of service that will leave you completely satisfied. I should know... I work there! - Robert

Service is great, Sushi & Teppan is very good, & the dinning experience is perfect. They have 2 locations & I have eatten @ both. The Tampa location offers a wider variety on the menu for all types of dinning. I would defintely recommend it!
